Small by design
Never more than a dozen people. The room is the point.
Baithak
Baithak is an old word for a sitting — the front room where people gathered to talk late into the evening, with no agenda and no performance.
Some of the best ideas have always started in rooms like these — from Ghalib’s mehfils in Ballimaran to the adda of the Bengal Renaissance. I host Baithak in that spirit: small dinners, the right people, and an honest conversation that goes wherever it wants to.
Never more than a dozen people. The room is the point.
No pitching, no panels, no name tags — just real conversation.
Sometimes with less than a day’s notice, wherever I happen to be.
Good food, late evenings, and India and AI usually in the mix.
Where it's happened
An intimate dinner with founders, operators, and researchers — desi food, chai, and real talk with India and AI in the mix.
Baithak is invite-only and organised by city, usually over a quick DM. If our paths might cross, tell me where you’re based and what you’re into — I’ll keep you in mind for the next one.
